Description:
The fuel pump pressure sensor is part of the fuel pump assembly and is mounted on top of the tank or inside the tank. It’s part of the evaporative emissions system (commonly referred to as “EVAP”) and reads pressure in the fuel system to detect evaporative leaks, such as a loose or faulty gas cap.
Features
- High measurement accuracy, ECU can accurately measure the engine intake pressure;
- The product has good reliability and long service life, suitable for working in the harsh environment of the automotive system;
- Ceramic capacitor structure, good compatibility with the measurement medium.
Application
- Suitable for engine.

What happens when the fuel pressure sensor goes bad?
A bad fuel pressure sensor can lead to various engine performance issues, including difficulty starting, rough idling, stalling, and reduced power. The engine control unit (ECU) relies on the sensor to determine the correct fuel pressure for optimal combustion. A faulty sensor can send inaccurate data, causing the ECU to supply too much or too little fuel, resulting in a poorly running engine.
Can I drive with a bad fuel pressure sensor?
While a vehicle can still run with a faulty fuel pressure sensor, it’s generally not recommended to drive long distances. A bad sensor can lead to various issues, including decreased fuel efficiency, increased emissions, and potential damage to other engine components.
How much does it cost to repair a fuel pressure sensor?
The fuel rail pressure sensor replacement cost can start from around $200 and go up to $430. The labor cost can range from $140 to $270 while the parts can cost up to $160.
